ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Indirect Dealer Relationship Manager will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with auto dealer accounts through regular off-site visits. Reviews all pertinent reporting reflecting the Indirect portfolios performance and makes recommendations for rate adjustments and program changes as necessary. Responds to questions and/or provides information upon request from members (internal and external). Processes requests/transactions as appropriate. Assists members and potential members in understanding and utilizing the Credit Union's products and services.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: (in descending order of importance)
1. Manages the existing Indirect Lending relationships (profitability, efficiencies, delinquency) in a proactive manner. Conducts regular reviews of performance metrics with key stakeholders at the Credit Union and dealer. Prospects for new business opportunities / relationships for growth opportunities.
2. Conducts in person visits to train and educate indirect dealers about Navigant Credit Union's products and services. Assesses dealers' needs and provides solutions to help them succeed financially.
3. Monitors all indirect dealer relationships to ensure financial solvency to mitigate risk for the Credit Union. Visits dealers regularly to examine inventory levels, and all other aspects of the dealership's operations.
4. Mitigates risk using thorough underwriting practices, balancing risk versus reward to assist in building a strong portfolio that meets Credit Union quality and performance objectives.
5. Keeps informed of market conditions and competitive interest rates.
6. Participates in the execution of strategies, proposals and initiatives that align with the Credit Unions strategic goals.
7. Utilizes tact and experienced based knowledge to research/resolve/respond to members' and vendors' problems/concerns by explaining specific policies and products.
8. Represents the Credit Union in a professional manner and maintains positive member and vendor relations.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned by the VP Indirect & Consumer Lending.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High School Diploma required.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
1. Minimum 3 years Indirect Lending business development experience or automobile dealership finance experience required.
2. Ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate to build successful relationships required.
3. Must have the ability to participate in the development and implementation of sales and service goals to ensure that organizational and customer goals are met.
4. Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills required.
5. Detail-oriented self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team required.
6. Must have strong a service orientation in alignment with the credit union's mission and core values. Must be comfortable selling products and services in support of the credit union's financial objectives.
7. Must have the ability to handle simultaneously, multiple tasks and changing priorities and produce the desired results.
8. PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet.
9. Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills required.
10. Ability to function in a commercial office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: fax, copier, telephone, etc. Travel required.
